ASCAP Honours for Third Day
On March 28th, ASCAP honoured Third Day at its 33rd Annual Christian Music Awards where they were presented with the Vanguard Award in recognition of their extra-ordinary impact on Christian music in the United States.
It is an exclusive event that salutes songwriters and publishers of their most performed Christian songs. The top awards presented include: Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year, Songwriter/Artist of the Year and Publisher of the Year.
A first for Christian Music
Third Day was the very first to recieve the Vanguard Award for Christian music. Past honorees include The Killers, Sara Bareilles, Santigold, All-American Rejects, Arcade Fire, Jack Johnson, The Strokes and the Beastie Boys, to name but a few.
Congratulations to the band on winning such an honour.
