Your donations in action
Posted on: 11/04/2011 @ 5:14pm by David Burton

Donations given by Third Day fans on the last UK tour have been used by Ignite to help build a school for children in India.

The Gateway School, Rajahmundry

The Gateway School opened in February 2009, when it was dedicated by Gill and Nigel James (Third Day's Road Pastor), with a team attending from Cardiff, Wales as well as many local children, pastors and dignitaries.

Even before the Come Together Compound the land had been the venue for fun days for local children, preparing them for starting school.

Free Schooling for 198

Some 120 children were registered at the beginning of June, with the first lessons commencing Friday 12th June. Within a few weeks some 198 children, many of which are orphans, were attending the school - and all for free. The children were collected in the new school bus which collects them from all the surrounding villages. The Gateway School is the only Christian school in nearly 20 villages.
